The soft white cabinetry, along with the honed Calacatta Gold island top and subway tile backsplash create a bright and airy atmosphere. The dark hardwood floors, wood-wrapped ceiling beam and island cabinets bring balance and warmth to the space.

The honed marble backsplash tile is a nod to the traditional and classic style of the home. The cooktop splash features a Calacatta marble herringbone. The cooktop feature creates texture and contrast amongst the marble subway.

The Waterstone prep faucet, with a convenient air activated garbage disposal adds elegance and functionality to the kitchen island.

The bar area features glass-front cabinets and wine cubbies. This area of the kitchen also includes a desk and landing zone for the homeowner’s electronics and kids’ homework.

The Hudson Valley Oxford lanterns are a classic statement piece, illuminating the focal piece of the kitchen: Calacatta Gold marble countertop.

Traditional updates to a classic Shaker Heights home makes for a dreamy gourmet kitchen.

Thoughtful, detailed design and expert craftsmanship make for a truly amazing transformation.

Removing the wall separating the kitchen and the existing bonus room opened up the kitchen and created space for a casual dining area, complete with a new fireplace and window bench seat. The homeowner’s collection of red cookware inspired the custom pillows and bench cushion.

The casual dining area is filled with natural light streaming in from the new skylights and French doors.

Powder Room & Mud Room Gallery

Calacatta marble subway is accented with a Calacatta marble mosaic and Calacatta marble chair rail. The bright white finishes are offset by the dark-stained hardwood floor, which also flows throughout the kitchen.

The Kohler above-counter sink and wall-mounted faucet make a sophisticated design statement in the small space.

A custom floating vanity with surface-mounted sink bowl add to the charm and beauty of this tiny powder room.

The mudroom, located next to the powder room utilizes unused space under the stairs to provide room for cubbies, hanging space, as well as shelving for shoe storage.
