Pepper Pike Master Suite Remodel

A Pepper Pike master suite remodel, included the master bedroom, his and her’s master closets and an outdated master bath, which was designed into a tranquil haven for a busy husband and wife. Contemporary features and soothing colors create a zen-like retreat for the couple.  Without expanding the original footprint of the bathroom, the design team focused on making the room feel as open and spacious as possible.  In order to achieve this, we expanded the windows, allowing for more natural light to permeate the space and kept a soothing, earth-toned color palette.  The couple requested an open shower, so only one large glass panel separating the shower and vanity area was installed.  Soft blues, greens and greys are anchored in the space by the chocolate stained vanity and dark grey tile flooring.

The exposed shower features a custom curved bench, oversized niche and dual shower heads. The Illumi marble bench seat makes a statement against the subtle 12x24 field tile and 1x4 glass mosaic in the niche.

A built-in linen cabinet was mirrored to reflect all the natural light flooding in from the new windows.

The chocolate-stained, custom-built vanity coordinates perfectly with the porcelain tile floors.

The original windows were small and outdated. New windows were replaced and expanded to give the homeowners a better view of their expansive property.

The vanity area brings together all the elements and colors in the bathroom. The 4x12” glass tile is laid in a vertical third brick pattern, which coordinates with the lavatory area and the Illumi counter matches the shower bench. The faucets are by Moen and the bubble light fixtures add a touch of whimsy to this otherwise contemporary space.

The corner air tub with seamless white panel has a dual function in this master – a great way to relax after a long day, as well as a fun bath-time treat for the couple’s three children.

The extensive shower niche has beautiful shades of blue and green that play off the Illumi stone used throughout the space.

The brushed nickel Moen faucet works well with the overall contemporary scheme of the bathroom.
